I first picked up my mom's camera when I was a junior in high school. Coming from a family where photography runs deep it did not take long to get involved. While at Michigan State University I studied advertising and sociology while focusing on photography every chance I got. After graduation from MSU I headed off on a year-long 50 state tour of the United States where I snapped dozens of photos for a year.
