I began doing photography as a hobbyist when I was only 18 years old. I found that I loved using the camera as a story-telling tool that I could share with everyone I loved. I began doing photography as a hobbyist when I was only 18 years old. I found that I loved using the camera as a story-telling tool that I could share with everyone I loved. I began taking pictures of all the places I visited and shared the prints with friends and family from here to Brazil. As my skills improved mostly through lots and lots of practice I began making money with my photography by photographying my greatest fear - other people. Portraiture was my greatest fear but turned out to be the turning point to nudge me towards professionalism. Now my photographs are admired my many. Portraits are treasured by their owners. I use photography to make a positive difference in the lives of people and that alone makes it so worth it.
Welcome! I consider myself very new here as well. I joined in June. Sales have trickled in. It's always exciting to see what sells best from my portfolio. Yes, wildlife and nature shots don't do a whole lot of good here. Maybe,...if it's a really unique shot. Particularly if you can attach a concept or idea to it, that can be related to the business world. That seems to be the seller - images that can be directly used for the major industries out there. Just keep your eyes open to the images you see in advertisements. That will give you the best clues of what you should probably be shooting. Best regards. posted in New guy here
