i guess there is only so much you can do about this and so i decided to think like Dr. Seuss and try a little lighthearted way of explaining things. remember i am not mad at anyone at dreamstime ... this is one of those times when you can laugh or cry... i want to laugh. so here is my original poem about being exclusive on dreamstime and what you can do with your images when you are exclusive.
You can not sell it on z-place
You can not sell it on c -place
You can not sell it on eBay
You can not sell it any way
Unless you have your own website
Or people ask you so polite
And you can sell to them direct
Or mail it to them - indirect.
You can not put it on a shirt
You can not put it on a skirt
You can not sell it in a store
‘less you can stand there by the door.
You can not print it on a cup
You can not stick it on a duck
You can not put it on a card
Or something pretty for the yard.
No matter who , no matter what
Exclusive status, that you’ve got
Means only those who buy your file
Can make the products… you meanwhile
can always see your image shine
On any P.O.D. online.
Is it becoming crystal clear?
There is a little more, I fear.
You must not stray, you must not go
To any other place you know.
To sell the image, did you guess
It’s stated in the T.O.S.
I hope you see, I hope you do
That to the rules , you must be true
And now you know the little rhyme
When you’re exclusive at Dreamstime
However short , however long
However right , however wrong
You, must do what you think best.
And now… I think… I need a rest.
