Hi all, I've finally taken the plung after a lot of thought on budget and quality etc... And bought myself the 50D canon camera! I was contemplating the 5D but after buying such a camera I might as well declare myself bankrupt lol. Just want to thank you for all your suggestions and help on this :-) hmm so what should my first photo be lol posted in 50d and 400d

I also just noticed today that canon had released the 7D! The speck looks good though it would be out of my budget :-( My gut feeling is to go with the 50D and in a few years I'm sure there will be even more fantastic cameras from canon no doubt! Though the 50D has ISO issues above 800 I rarely go that high even on my 400d because I often like to take good quality images at the lowest ISO on a tripod. Especially when I'm taking low light scenes. l'll let you all know when I've got my camera and happy snapping :-) posted in 50d and 400d
