| Bio / Artistic statement |
I started taking photos when I was a teen and went on to study photography at the Art Institute of Boston, where I learned to use different format cameras, studio lights, and to shoot in black & white using the zone system. I went on to earn a degree in interior design focusing on commercial projects.
I got my first digital camera (an Olympus C740) in October of 2004. Being able to see my images immediately and edit them myself in my digital darkroom, has rekindled my passion for photography.
I bought a Nikon D70s in March 2006 and shoot about 1,000 images a month. My favorite time to photograph is early morning, or late afternoon. Afternoon is a great time to work in my studio or catch up on managing my digital workflow. I also photograph events once in a while, and create digital slide shows. |
