My first love was music and marching band. From elementary school on, I was hooked. Once I reached High School, I fell in love with Drum Corps. I marched the Anahem VK and theConcord Blue Devils. Inbetween all that, I was a performer in the WGI circuit where I performed with the Kingsmen and the San Jose Raiders (and won a gold medal). I marched and trained with many members of the Broadway hit Blast. I was an assistant band director at Western High School and a pageantry advisor for Laguna Beach HS as well as Magnolia High School.The other love in my life was always photography. Ask anyone from those days and I’m sure they remember the irritating gal with a camera always in their face! It wasn’t until I had my first child that photography became a very serious venue for me. With the ever changing technology of cameras, digital has taken me in a direction I never dreamed possible. I truly get a thrill pulling out all the stops, working hard to make a shot work at whatever the cost or jerry-rigged way of forcing it to happen. Making a photo, not taking it is what really floats my boat.
I am the sole owner and creator of a very successful line of digital backgrounds and templates for professional and amateur photographers. I own a successful preschool and have 3 children of my own 13, 7 & 5. I sell stock photography on numerous sites as royalty free as well as rights managed. My work has been published on many websites as well as magazine such as Bird Talk. I have a portrait studio in my home where clients of all kinds can come for my services. In the midst of all that, I volunteer at my children’s school as a PTA board member as the Yearbook Advisor. With a 5 year old in Kindergarten, they got me on the 7 year plan! At home, I love to creatively scrapbook. I can spend hours on a page design, cherishing every ounce of labor I put into it knowing my family will forever have beautiful heirlooms. I am married to a great guy who encourages me and supports me in this crazy business. We love to go RVing as much as possible to get a break from reality. I am always on the go but that is what keeps me happy! |
