I have always been interested in photography. As a child I loved his Polaroid camera. My serious pursuit of the image started out at 19 with a minolta X-700 SLR that I received as a wedding gift from my brother-in-law. I used the camera on a regular basis teaching himself photography. My serious pursuit of the image started out at 19 with a minolta X-700 SLR that I received as a wedding gift from my brother-in-law. I used the camera on a regular basis teaching himself photography. At 25 I was working as a warehouse manager and was a serious photo hobbiest. I was injured on the job and found myself with a lot of time on my hands and a very small income. I decided to go to college. I graduated from SUNY New Paltz, New Paltz NY with a BFA in Photography a few years later. And a short time after that I earned a MFA from Visual Studies from Visual Studies Workshop, Rochester NY. While in graduate school I worked part time in a Service Bureau. There I learned digital imaging. One of the highlights of my graduate program was learning lenticular imaging. I not only taught myself this but mastered it and used it in my graduate thesis. After graduating I moved to the Capital Region(Albany,N.Y.Area) to settle down. Since moving here I have worked in the Marketing industry as a photographer and have shown my artwork in Galleries. My wife of 21 years, and our 5 year old son, live in Schenectady NY.
