Make sure that the forms are filled no matter if your tax is 0%. Until you fill these forms we can't "see" that you qualify for 0%. Make sure that the forms are filled no matter if your tax is 0%. Until you fill these forms we can't "see" that you qualify for 0%. Anyone could select a country with 0% taxes, the form and ids tell us the selection was correct. Our advice is to fill the form before uploading the first images. Furthermore, the withholding tax applies only for US sales of non-US photographers. It's a tax required by the US law and Dreamstime is required to apply it. Having this tax deducted doesn't mean you don't pay taxes in your own country, especially as this is not applied to non US sales. A partial exemption might be possible depending on your country, but you need to contact a tax attorney locally to see if this is possible. In my opinion it is unlikely, governments enjoy so much to tax their people. But it worths investigating if you have the resources (i.e. investigation doesn't cost more than the revenue you earn). We encourage photographers to post their experience on the forums.
