How are you saving your inkscape svg files now? Try this information and see if it will help.http://blog.dreamstime.com/2011/12/05/problems-with-saving-an-eps-(vector)-file-from-inkscape_art36687Unfortunately, your image (Owl?) probably has a gradient for the background and trying to change to a eps file in inkscape, will not work without changing the main illustration and eps file will be rejected for not being the same.. Your Owl will be just fine as an jpeg. I did the same on some of my first illustration until I figured out what I was doing wrong. Roberto helped me out a lot. So, for your next illustration, use no gradients, no fill ins, no transparents and no blurs in Inkscape.Then you should not have any problem in changing your illustration into a vector in inkscape.Then you will need gimp to convert to a png and then to a jpeg.Or you can use the AI program..(I do not have that one, so I can not give any advice or hints)Good luck on your illustrations!Let us know how your are doing. posted in Yeay - my first illustration - ever!
