Backslash \\ is an escape character in php, used for special characters as tab, new line, return and some extravagant signs. You won't see it when it's rendered in HTML but it's there, for instance in an HTML textarea (as on the edit page). It happens when for instance you copypaste descriptions from MS-Word straight into the description field, as the simple single (code 39) and double quote are changed by something in UTF that looks better in Word. The easiest way to avoid all this is to just describe in Notepad with no line feeds and just simple singe/double quotes. posted in Title and Description problem
