I've noticed that on the earnings page, there is a new line:
2008 credits : 0 extrasmall, 0 small, 0 medium, 0 large, 0 extralarge, maximum, additional
Maybe the update is getting close.... |

Shiny new post!
The 2008 credits are live as well as the new levels. New downloads already start pouring. Note that all packages acquired before first of August, will still use the previous pricing.

There are more options now then web and print. If you have credits in your account they are probably very old and that is why you only see two options.
You can either convert earnings or buy new credits to access the new pricing system.
On the about our images page you will be able to see all the details about it, as well as on sell your images page. |

Not to be wet blanket, because I am elated with the new levels and pricing. But I wanted to bring up a concern I know a lot of contributors echo on the indie boards. With the big increase in credit prices, but no increase in the cost of subscription packages, is there a danger buyers will switch to more sub packages and cancel out the credit increase? I am liking the new RPD numbers, and I'd hate to see them reverse.
I know you guys study the numbers closely before making big changes. If you see more sub sales, will you consider increasing the cost of sub packages?

Hi there,
Nikitu does this mean that only buyers can see the pricing structure? Not sure if I am being a bit thick here but I can also only see options for web or print download and it is 1 or 2 credits respectively (for a level 1 image). Do you have to have credits in your account to see the exact prices for each different size image? Sorry if this has already been clarified but I couldn't find the answer. Thanks! Great news though that it is up and running! |

Everyone please show a little patience until all the area of the site are updated. Since the site is very vast this can take a while. Also please make sure that you don't have old credits, in which case you will see the same options that you saw before.
Everyone who has new credits or doesn't have credits at all can see the new pricing.

Sorry I wasn't being impatient just didn't understand something - that is all. I don't mind waiting at all as it takes as long as it takes :)
I just looked again and now it shows all of the prices for the image sizes so all is explained -I just didn't realise that it was being updated. |

With credits being now more expensive than subscriptions, some buyers might switch. That's in fact one of the main reasons why subscriptions exist on Dreamstime: to allow buyers to adapt through price increases. The difference gained credit-based should make it up considerable for the difference. After 2.5 years of having subscriptions online, we no longer target a low percentage of one's portfolio. What we target is a bigger check at payout. We do these with both plans.
If a parameter starts to give bad results for a large part of the contributors is reasonable to think we will take measures. Same applies with any update, even on buyers' side. Take into account that we judge things at site level, for both buyers and contributors, your mileage may vary. |

Wow! Finally the great structure has been implemented. I already have my results. See this image - LEVEL 3 Downloaded at EXTRA SMALL SIZE earned $2.10. I guess normally It would have given $1.50 . That is a huge increase!
