This is not my normal thing, so do you need a property release for this kind of photo? Or are colleges considered public access?

For this thread we have decided to review the images when they reach the pending line since the request is of a very large pool of images and it would be hard to priority review so many photographs. Thank you for your understanding.

What about colleges or universities for which there really isn't a building that's "iconic?" For example, Southern University doesn't really have a single building that when you look at it, you say, "That's Southern." Should we just pick a few buildings or do you just not want those?

Do you want seminaries also?

Every school has something iconic to that school. Check out Southern's website. What are they using on their webpage to represent their buildings?

Adpower99 was asking most likely because the website which I am surprised to see does not have any building representing it.

@Adpower99 there might be a chance that you will not get a response during the weekend since Wisepath said he/she would be traveling for a few days. If you still decide to go to Southern University I would check to see if they have a visitors area and see if they have a map cause some times the maps show the iconic buildings and info of their iconic buildings or if they do not just take pictures of the different buildings for the school. If the pictures then get approved then you would still have Southern University in your portfolio just in case someone else is needing pictures from that school.

Thanks, Susan. That's exactly what I was talking about. And no, Teresa, not every school does. I've lived in Baton Rouge a good portion of my life. Out of all of the ad campaigns, articles, websites, etc. I've ever seen for Southern, there are no buildings used to typically represent it. The architecture is relatively modern and, in my opinion, not much of it is very aesthetically pleasing. The most representative place there is the football stadium and the request was for buildings.

I just uploaded a photo of Memorial Tower at LSU. It says it'll be reviewed in 148 hours. I was planning to get some others today, but the weather wasn't being cooperative. There's always tomorrow.

On your first question, the more iconic the better, but if there's not a signature building, than an attractive shot of a building that is distinctive would be fine.

As far as seminaries, yes those would be helpful, too, as long as they offer four year degrees.

Thanks!
