One of my three pending files is in, two are still pending?
Not that I have rational hope of winning with them (hey, but there's always dreaming, right?;o) but if they get accepted, a part of the voting-time will already have passed...

Hi Martinedegraaf,
if your images were approved after voting time started, this is unfair to you. If there are still pending files although the assignment is closed, they should wait to start with the voting period.

but how long is the voting process? If it's quite a short time, then maybe it is unfair for the files that still haven't been approved...
But then (on the other hand) that's less competition for the rest of us! Heh... |

Thank you Anke! But it's not a big deal to me. The fact that they are in is quite enough for me (at this time anyway;o)) Would I feel one of them could be a real winner, I might have felt differently.
@ Meshaq : I have no idea about the voting-time either. We'll see :)

I recieved an email saying that the reason for the image not being selected was i need to reupload the files using the escalate to level 5 option. Since the assignment is now closed I uploaded them as submissions for my porfolio, but they were rejected again citing the same reasons. what do i do? |

It means that already registered DT members are eligible for votes. Those who are active here. Not family and friends who will just login on DT to vote!!! |

How long does the voting usually take?
And do we get to see the total ranking, or are just the three winners announced?

Edit: Ooops, that was a coincidence... I just saw that the winners are announced!!

But.....
Now I see I did my voting completely wrong....
I gave 1-5 points to every image I particularly lliked. I did no voting on pics I thought less interesting (thinking giving them 0 points)
But now I see it is an average of the 1-5 points... so I have pulled down the average of some pics I did like... sorry...
Maybe a short explanation of how to vote might be handy for the next assigment? (at least for dummies like me......?)

hi all and THANKYOU SO SO MUCH!!!! i am pretty much a newbie here and I am just so estatic that I won this competition.....Ive been jumping up and down excitedly for the last half hour! Funny too - just by coincidence the couple whose children they are are coming to our house tonight for a lovely dinner in about 2 hours time! And I just read this news 30 mins ago thinking the voting would finish on sunday. Wow! Thank you to you all and to dreamstime - you've made my day and i feel so much more inspired! |
