I knew what you had meant Achilles ;).
My post was rather to show, that for new users activate and deactivate FTP may be confusing. If you deactivate, you can not upload. So I thouhgt, right now the functionality is useless ;)

Sorry must admit have not gone through all 14 pages but can I ask when the old system of uploading will be back if at all....
Hope so miss uploading here :(

Hi Sue, I don't think that it will be back. I had a lot of problems at first but the last couple of uploads have worked well on Java. If you're having problems read throught the whole thread as there is lots of advice for solving problems spread through it.
Hope you get it sorted.

Many thanks Mandy :)
will check the thread through after I have retrieved my Sanity ( I may be gone awhile ) have been trying to do to many things at once these last few days with most of my time spent decorating, that and washing white paint of the Dog lol
Anyhoo back on topic... yes found Java very problematic for me here on Safari

Hi Sue,
I had problems with IE but got it working with firefox although whilefiles are uploading I can't do anything else with firefox.
Sounds like your dog hasn't calmed down much yet. Did you get photos of him covered in paint?

well...i dont have any problems with uploads.
If you dont see uploaded images in your unfinished section you have to upload it again...if not -- again...and finally they will be in your unfinished files section.
easy...always works.
btw nice flash view of photos. |

I tried upload today in FireFox.
After an attempt to connect, appleat has thrown a "Technical error"
Java console says
Apr 17, 2009 11:19:01 AM - FTPUploadTask - upload() -
java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect
Apr 17, 2009 11:19:01 AM - FTPUploadTask - logout() -
java.lang.NullPointerException
Might a proxy server be the cause of the problem? If yes, then could you, please, switch on an HTTP-option for upload again? Otherwise, I have no chance to upload on Dreamstime.
P.S. I cannot use direct FTP as well because of proxy server. |

Hi..the java uploader give me technical error..I've tryied to unistall and reinstall all java machine on my pc..I've tryied with Explorer and Mozilla..but nothing to do..the java applet accept my files but is impossible to connect.. |

oh I've just uploaded a file for assignament in the old way..and it work.Is possible to go back to old method?Thanks |

Seems that "Resubmit file" helps in the case of errors with Java. Hope I haven't violated any policy |
