1) I haven't noticed that non-US contributors have to fill in a tax form before, or there is 30 percent withholding tax deducted in advance for every US buyers. If I finish this procedure, will all the earning from US buyers before be recalculated (shall I get the reimbursement for the withholding tax before)?

2) I currently stay in foreign country instead of my home country and I also have a social security number in that country, but I haven't got the permanent resident permit yet, thus which country should I choose for calculating the withholding tax, my resident country or my home country?

Thanks, all guys!

@Katrien55 - your post was moved here, since this is the big tax center related thread. Please, read through it (yes, I know it's a lot but it's necessary) and you'll find more information.

Also, check the Tax Center itself - there's a lot of important information there, too.

Katrien55:

1) No, the earnings are not recalculated. In the absence of a form , we are required to deduct the standard tax percentage which is 30%. Once your form is submitted, your earnings are taxed as per the form but this does not apply retroactively.

2) You should choose the country in which you are paying taxes. We recommend you contact support in order to see which papers are required to submit in case you pay taxes in your resident country but you have not been issued an ID document/permit.

I am really sorry for my ignorance, but I tried my best to figure out how to complete my tax forms with DT and I failed. Can somebody in plain English give me step-by-step instructions how to do it in my particular case? I am a corporation registered in Canada. I don't have any US tax numbers. Thank you!

I only have over $1 in earnings but it won't let me upload anymore photos until I fill out a tax form. I have a ways to go before reaching $100...any way I can avoid filling it out just yet until I cash out? I am not comfortable submitting all my personal documentation online.
