Just like the thread below, saying "stopped selling", I stopped selling too...ok it's not that important. but views are really gone crazy! One of my newly approved files came up with 5 views. I saw it with my bare eyes, I refreshed the page and saw fresh approved pictures, one of them has 5 views! I said "wow...someone was waiting for my picture!"

...and now, all of my pictures approved just yesterday have 10 an 5 views, it looks like a group of 5 people clicks on the pictures! LOL

...and my other pictures have 40 - 50 views in just 4 days! It's incredible. (19847734 - 19847744) and this (19847296) phone holder has 62 views in just 6-7 days. I was waiting for days to have someone click on my pics!

...It's really interesting to have 5 views before my picture got into the search engine. (I searched it with the title and some keywords too...it wasn't there)

I just wanted to share...

Yeah, I am experiencing the same, through a night two of my last approved pictures got some 20 views each which is not usual - but no sale which is what counts ;-)

I noticed the same thing (before seeing this post)

Views went up big time over night and sales have stopped (where may was by a mile my BME in dl's and revenue)

It looks like some automated "thing" is missing with the site. Like some robot/crawler visiting our ports

I don't think that an image with 60 views and "0" sales look good on the search engine.

On the other hand, I want to know the real numbers of views/sales, it means a lot to me.

I stopped worrying about views a long time ago when I realized when I clicked myself on my image it counted as a view.

Its not a relyable tool, Diavata is right, dozens of robots are crawling the internet everyday, maybe its a partner of DT uploading the info for their site, for instance.

Stop worrying about views, worry about sales, uploading new images, review your keywords, geotag your images, blog, go to the forum, use the twitter and facebook tools, promote yourself.

Yes, @Afagundes, I confirm that it is the partners activities.

I saw one of the websites which collects all my pictures and resells them on the behalf of DT (i imagine, can't read cirilic;)

That's what I thought, but in this thread http://www.dreamstime.com/thread_27454 one of the admins said clicking on our images does not count as a view, after I asked about this *confused*

Yeah I tried that too...self-clicks doesn't count.

I contacted support (2 times by mistake, sorry support!) I'm sure they are going to answer and we will find out what's going on... :)

There was an error in the view counter which we have now managed to solve. The number of views should be displayed correctly from now on.

If you spot any more problems on your end, please let us know.

I wonder if the existing mad values will become to their normal values...or we won't see the crazyness from now on! I wish my existing views are normal again :( I hate to see 60 views/0 sales. I workede too hard on some of those images and don't want to feel like "no one likes them"

Thanks for the answer...

The view counter actually showed less views which means that it's very possible you will continue to see a lot of views for your files from now on as well. Don't panic, the number is correct.

So you mean that those views are not "more", but they are "less then normal"

It's really interesting...

Same situation is happening to me...plenty of views overnight for the new pics uploaded and 0 sale for a week, now!

My new photos of the dogs festival are receiving a lot of views and in general I am not bothered if a pic gets a lot of views and no downloads. Just in general this June has been a bit weird on DT so far...
