I also think that it is necessary to separate the illustrators of the photographers.

The list is based on customer interest rather than a breakdown of all potential genres. Examples such as forensic are exceptions to this rule, as you can see there are many variations or subtleties of the same theme (i.e. kids vs children).

Above response from Admin (page 5 of this thread) in response to the question about illustrators.

I'm offering an easy fix to the photographer/illustrator dilemma. I don't see why the word "photographer" needs to be listed after each genre. Removing that word would make it acceptable to illustrators and photographers alike. Then it would be a list of genres that people can choose as their particular interest or specialty in photography or illustration...Besides, even though a person may have a few wedding or children photos (for example) in their portfolios...they may not really want to be labeled as a childrens or wedding photographer. Customers can always focus their search by de-selecting photography or illustration if they want to choose a particular medium. Even though I am mainly an illustrator, I do have a few photographic images that do quite well...there's no need to over-label or pigeon-hole contributors.

Check my profile... :) It´s purely editorial ...not for living obviously from DT customers ...but, it is not clearly "war photography" ...more likely is "military, technocratic camouflage & desert obsessed photography" :DDDD

I do not believe it is available yet. From what I get from this thread, it is a work still in progress.

I agree....what about Illustrations?

Illustration/Photography genres have to be different. For example: hardly anyone will photograph "design elements" or "icons". Bur plenty of illustrators will have these for sale.

The feature was put on hold recently, I don't know if it will be reactivated in the future, but if it happens, we'll make a public announcement.
