Smooth gradient

Viridana
To create smooth gradient background without noise I have tried to do this.

- Create the background in photoshop.

- Move it back to camera raw or lightroom and use the noise reduction tools.

- Move the file back to photoshop and then go on with the work.

But this is the babystep and my "testing everything I can figure out".

Some more professional tip for me?
Or comments?
I would be very grateful.

Put a solid color on the board and then try clicking on that layer and choosing grad from the menu and do your grad via the menu options.

Keep this in mind...

If you put a perfectly noiseless background behind a photograph, it will look un-natural. So always add some noise to your post-created backgrounds. Another advantage of this noise is; when you save your file as .jpeg, color depth will be decreased to 8 bit, which can create banding on gradient areas. Adding artificial noise will remove the gradient too ;)

"Adding artificial noise will remove the gradient too ;)"

This was wrong...Adding artificial noise will remove the BANDING, not the gradient :) I needed to correct myself...
