Yes, a lot of new guys get DSLRs at low price and shoot editorials. I have bad feelings about this market. More editors to check photos will result in low revenues or big prices for buyers.
A test for new photographers will be good like others stock agencies do.
BTW, my last uploaded editorial photo stay on 10 hours ETR for about one week :)

Why not to allow other contributors to review new images by voting for them in spare time - got 100 or more votes, then accepted (or got to be reviewed), didn't in a week - not, or something like that...

I think you are right about this, it takes weeks for the whole process, being aproved, being indexed, etc...

Of course you can write support and ask them to hurry up, but about the search engine you will have to promote yourself otherwise the images wont be found in time.

"time sensitive subjects", I guess can be considered as "priority review". Send the id numbers of the images and choose the subject Priority Review in the contact form.

But, Komar, even if they are reviewed in 24 hours, they're still normally not indexed for another couple of days. That means that unless someone actually goes to your profile looking specifically for them, no buyers will see them during that time. The only exception to that is if DT opts to include them in the News section. Realistically, you're looking at a three day wait before they get in front of a buyer, even with a priority review.

News buyers will always look at "latest uploads" in the editorial section on evey stock agency. I mean the big buyers, not kids looking for star movies photos. Google don't bring us buyers, buyers are here looking for what they need.

Either way everyone would prefer waiting less for images being reviewed. My suggestion above wasn't about editorials, but normal submissions... if reviewers are helped filtering out bad stuff everything would be faster.

Exactly! - I have some recent shots of the Olympic torch relay and those are in my port already (just the next day after taking the shots)... but they have not been found on the DT pages, not in "Editorials" section, not in the "News" section.... well until now. Wondering if I missed some sales due to such an indexing lag...

Editorial review time - zzzzzzzzzz

Used to be fast. Now you watch your image sit at 10 hours for a week.
