This is my first time posting a trick in Photoshop section. I hope it's ok to post a link to my video on how to straighten out tilted light poles using photoshop.

Straighten out tilted light poles

Most of us knows that shooting with a wide angle lens tends to distort an image. With this quick technique, you can fix those light poles or trees that are tilted. Below is a quick summary on how it's done.

1.) Use the Rectangular Marque Tool (M) and make a selection around the light pole.
2.) With the Marque selected, copy the selection to a new layer Cmd+J (Ctrl+J).
3.) Transform the selection of the new layer Cmd+T (Ctrl +T).
4.) Press and hold down Shift+Cmd (Shift+Ctrl) and move the top, center transformation control to the left or right.
5.) Press Enter to accept the changes.

I hope this helps!

Actually when you select and transform the selected area, the layer below will be visible and you should clone that area too, especially if there is a complicated background. Reviewers will easily see the visible background and they will probably reject the submission.
