thank you, murdock2013, for this info! today I received answeres to some of my pix: rejected. it's the quality of my camera, not the subjects. ok, I have to look for a DSRL...
...for the moment nothing professional

Hi, I did exactly the same a few weeks ago when I joined, I had some old pictures from an old camera that I took many years ago and I thought they looked fine but the quality of the camera was just not up to it. so all were rejected. I am now building my acceptance ratio up using the a DSLR I bought a year ago and now have over the past few weeks 58 pictures accepted. Once you have bought a new camera and your pictures start getting accepted and you get your first download it can be very addictive even if its not your profession and just a hobby... from little acorns grow!!! you never know what it can lead to!!

Welcome to Dreamstime!
While you are waiting to hear about your images, why not try digging deep into the message board archives and blogs. There are some really good articles to help you on your journey.
Regarding you camera, maybe you can find a used dslr camera you can afford?
Good luck!
Currently my primary camera is a Fuji XT-1.
