Model release needed? Concert images with people that are not recognizable ( silhouettes)

AuthenticCreations
Dear all,

I am going today to an concert and i am planning to shoot some images for stock.

I am asking myself if some images need model release for commercial use. I put the following link as example:

http://www.dreamstime.com/royalty-free-stock-photo-concert-audience-image21217365

Here the people are totally not recognizable. They could be everybody. They are silhouettes. The band is defocused on a way that they are also not recognizable. Does this image need model release? For my feeling not because like i said the people you can not relate to anyone for 100 percent.

Thanks in advance!!

For this particular image a MR is not required. But make sure that the silhouettes are really dark

Hi Lejoch,

Maybe when you zoom in the person is recognizable.

People from concert are from the back + dark.

I can take your photo and give it some light and see the faces of people who face the camera (if there are any) So my suggestion is to paint the faces and get rid of all the possible details, for sure. Then you can add a small amount of noise, to the painted area. It won't make you lose quality, but you will be safer for sure :)
