Alvera, You better donate away your Nikon to me. :D

By the way, maybe you could do some contrast adjustments around the sky region. With a mask and a brush. It should make it even better maybe.
Plus I searched around and I think there may be software that makes TIFF files from a mobile camera. Might work great on a proper mobile cam. Try it out!

Your Canon is better than my Nikon, Robin :) I understand that you want to have a king's camera, but her place is in a museum, sorry :(

What about TIFF files? I don't understand the reason why DT makes TIFF from JPG, so why to try this?

I suspect some of you being part of this :))

"New Canon Ad Campaign Takes a Swing at Smartphone Photography

Smartphones have been stealing market shares from the big camera manufacturers for some time and it doesn’t seem like it’ll stop anytime soon. Naturally, that leads to a healthy fear from companies like Canon and Nikon who, unlike Sony or Samsung, don’t have players on both sides. For its part, Canon has decided to start fighting back in the form of a new advertising campaign with the tagline: “don’t let a call interrupt your photo.”

Thanks for original link, Lenuta.

No, no. I meant...do you shoot JPEG with your mobile phone? I think there are software that can give you a TIFF file from the mobile phone camera...which would have less noise and compression problems and you can upload it as JPEG after post processing. Cleaner photos! Certainly better re-editing JPEG from mobile phones. They are already not very good.

Does the king auction his camera? And I have a Nissin Di-466 flash as a recent addition. Completely from DT payout only. There's a few days for the next payout and then I can get another flash. Photos are coming out just great, compared to using bulb exposure for food shots. haha!

Robin, my Nokia is a normal phone, second-hand buy, recently I discover that camera is not so bad. I will take a look on Nokia Store for a photo app, but I think the jpeg straight from phone are good enough. I will save time on post-processing.

Anyway, it was just an experiment, my dream is a Sony NEX for portability.

Lenuta, thanks my dear :)

It was hard to find but there is a category titled Mobile. To get to it you have to go to the category Abstract and then hit the subcategory link titled Mobile (impossible for a buyer to find in my opinion for a genre that is becoming very popular, why would they think it would be nested under Abstract?). It is here - Mobile

I have very many accepted with a Samsung 2. But also many rejected. It's about editor's eye. I had recently 20 in a row rejected with 'poor lens' message. So, finger crossed next time you use a mobile device. :-)
The idea they made this category was to get the 'mobile look', photos filtered with mobile effects or made from unusual angles etc. But I saw people doing studio shots with the phone :-)
Congratulations for your accepted photos. Good luck.
