I said: How many more pixels means this 13%?

You said: 13% more :) It is not crucial, I believe...

I say: on a 12 Mpx sensor, 13% more means a 18MPx sensor :)
So, in this case, I've just upgraded my body :)

Госсподи боже ты мой!!!!!!

No, I have not a 1300mm lens. I have a telescope Celestron NexStar 130 SLT with mirror of 130mm (diameter) and 650mm (focal length). Aperture is 1:5.

Firstly, not 13% but only 6% (see above). Secondly, this means that while a 'normal' Moon occupies, e.g. 1000 pixels (in terms of diameter), the Super Moon will require 1060 pixels. A great difference, be agree...

BTW, the Super Mini Moon (that happens every 28 days, as well as Super Moon) will be of 940 pixels in the above considered case. So, the whole range is 940...1060 which, in my opinion does not suppose words like 'Super'. I would say 'a bit larger' or 'a bit smaller', instead.

Sorry to intrude, but thanks a lot. I captured about 10 photos. All potential bestsellers (for my port). None of them has any trace of the moon in it. But these shots were possible only because of some info in this thread and the supermoon.

Good thing is, I didn't find a single photo like that in DT.

Do you see Igor?! We made a man happy (and, potentiali, rich). He run on the beach to shoot the supermoon and suddenly stoped and shoot some supergirls! :))

As you can see, a king's moon is bigger than a regular moon, 33 days :)

Try to use some planetarium soft, like, e.g., Stellarium - http://www.stellarium.org/en/

Then, you will be able to know how sky looks at any moment (past, present, future) and at any location (even at the Moon), including moon/sun rises and sets.
