Hey everyone. Hopefully a newbie to this site.
I've been waiting for over six days for images I uploaded to be approved.
When I uploaded it said estimate 121 hours.

Is is common for such long times for approval? And so much longer than the estimates?

Yupper! Sometimes they get approved a lot quicker though too. Editorials tend to get approved first in my experience.

The estimates are just estimates. I find that over the weekend it takes longer then estimated. Sometimes the estimates are way off, in either direction. Eventually it will be reviewed!

welcome and good luck with your uploads.
It ussually takes five-six days for an image to be approved or rejected. But that is just an estimate time, it could take less than that or more.

I finally got a couple pics up. Let me know what you guys think. Alot of rejections. I love zooming in my pics and have to get back to my old training on the rule of thirds, golden, etc.

It will be fun. I just love doing this. And it gives me an excuse to go out and get that new flash. I haven't done flash photography in probably 20 years.

Welcome and good luck on your journey. The three photos in your portfolio are nice, should be good sellers as school dances start popping up.

If I can give you one bit of advice, imo anyway, on the photo with the young lady on the stairs, watch your rule of thirds. She is almost too centered in this photo. The white wall leaves a great spot for copy space too (a keyword phrase you left off).

Patience is a virtue with uploading stock photos. The best advice I can give you is upload and forget them... get back to shooting more and uploading more. ;)

A funny little story for you... I uploaded a batch and so did my coworker. Before we left our FT jobs on Friday she asked what my estimated time to inspection was. It was 9 hours and hers with 24 hours. We assumed they would all be inspected, if we were lucky, over the weekend. Come Monday morning when we got to work she asked if my photos were inspected. I logged in to check and my estimate was now 12 hours and her photos had been inspected! ;) so we obviously had different inspectors, hers more likely in the front of her inspection batch and mine at the end of my inspectors batch. In the mean time, I had already uploaded another batch,
