I would like to suggest that editorial photos & mobile shots to have more clear indications for that!
Why, is another subject!

You said well Alvera! SOME! There is a difference between images that are uploaded using a mobile & images that made using mobiles!

I myself won't pay for a phone image the same like I pay for a DSLR shot!
It's a shame to treat "good" images with instagram effects the same who used tripod & set up lights or a studio for that!

Editorial images should have more indications because some buyers just use them same like RF! If the buyer clearly warned that this is an editorial image, mistakes will be less I think!

I would tell much more about the difference but I made this thread to suggest something & after all it's up to DT to take it or not!

Peace!

We don't have a different review process for mobile shots, so there's no need for special indications for such images. If they pass the review under the same terms, they're just like any other image displayed for sale on Dreamstime.

For instance, we don't sell images shot with entry level DSLR for a lower price than images shot with medium format digital cameras, although the difference in the price of equipment is huge.

Also, we've refused for low quality many images shot with top of the line DSLRs, so we can really say it's more about the photographer and less about the equipment.

Most of the mobile photos can be identified by reading the exif data in the Tools tab of each image.

As for Editorial images: the type of license is indicated in three different places:
1. On the image tab (Download Editorial / Download RF stock photo)
2. Right under the image's prices (Choose license: Royalty Free/Editorial or Extended Rights)
3. Under the Download button, where the license is briefly explained and a link to full terms is provided.

After 10 days of posting this I got an admin reply! Thank you Dudau!

Yeah DT standards in reviewing! I got you! erm yeah!
I won't give an example in public about a mobile image full of noise & accepted on DT which I liked but I won't download for the noise it has on zoom!

But if it's a beautiful photo, same like others taken with medium & high standard equipment, why you insist on classifying it under the category mobile?! While I don't see any category for compact cameras or dslr?!

Can you please explain to me how this illustration is classified under mobile?!
Example

Thank you!
