Hi to all here.
Can enyone comment my web page please?
I've made it myself with just a little help of my friend who place it there.
It's based on Wordpress.
It's more of information site and it's only in english.
I'm not a graphic designer so it is quite simple. I want to improve some features (posts and pages) to make it more useful.
The site is here
Thank you.

Hi.
Thank you Mark for you nice words. It's good to know that with so less effort you can do something, even if it's very simple, that someone might like. And sometimes just a word like yours will do a lot.
Cheers.
Lukasz. |

Hi Lukasz,
I think the colors you used are great. You can read the white and orange perfect on the grey background. That was it easier to read and feels better.
Maybe you can put a small space between the photos you have on your site, so they are seperated and not stuck together.
Its just a minor detail that some people prefer. It's just what your taste is.
If it's not your taste, this was is just fine.
And maybe a small point of critisism would be the resolution. But this also depends on what you want your audience to be.
Your resolution is 1000 pixels.
About 8% of the internet users still have a screenresolution of 800x600. So those people will not see the website properly and get a horizontal scrollbar.
But this are most of the times older people and people with bad eyes.
So it just kind of depends of what your audience is.
Nowadays I also design most of my websites compatible for 1024x768.
Hope this information is helpfull for you :)
Regards,
Michel |

I think so that 1024x758 resolution is the best. Our clients are interested in good design and images, so their monitors, I suposse, are news and good quality. Perhaps a higher resolution works fine too.
Excuse me my bad english. |

Hi.
Thank you Michel and Gines for your kind words.
Now I'm thinking how can I improve my web page to make it look more interesting.
The warm season is comming so I hope to be able to shoot a lot and to show some more of my DT images out there.
Take care
Lukasz

Hello Lukasz.
Nice to see you here. Thanks for a message on another site. :-) I've just answerd you.
Well, about yours site I can tell that it looks very nice and compact. It's very clear and readable. Maybe you could make spaces between photos a bit bigger, like Michel said.
I'd like also recommend to put more text in your news, that your site could be more visible in SE.
Good luck.

Why robots=noindex, nofollow? Don't you want to be Googled? ;-)
There is no point in a website if it doesn't help sales. |

Hi.
What do you mean by that?
I really like to be Googled but don't really know how to do it..
I have only about 15-20views /entries per day.
Cheers |

It will be done automatically by the webcrawling bots, but the robots=noindex, nofollow is an instruction in the head section of your landing page for the bots not to crawl your site.
meta name='robots' content='noindex,nofollow'
You should also fill in the metatags description and keywords. They are empty now or identical to the title.
Your Google Analytics code should be before the ending BODY tag, not in the middle. It doesn't work too (I use a Firefox plugin that shows me whether GA are enabled).
Since you use Wordpress, all those things are very easy to adapt in the backend of your WP install. I don't exactly remember how any more now since I quit Wordpress half a year ago and I use Joomla now on FlemishDreams.
Hope these hints help. ;-) [nice site!] |
