Hi Anke,

You might want to search the D80 forum at dpreview.com here: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/forum.asp?forum=1034
I'm sure you can find detailed reviews here about the D80 in combination with the heavy "bigma" (= nickname for that lens).

Good luck,
Paul.

I tryed this one on my Nikon D2Hs...its a very heavy lens...cheap but good quality...
In all of that I prefer 2 different lenses at this kind of length, AF is too slow for moving objects and the start with F/4,0 on 50 mm is not enough in my opinion..

Sigma has introduced recently a new lens 150-500. If you're interested in long focal lenght i think this is a cheaper solution compared to the canon 100-400L ;)

SIGMA lens I've used previously, my evaluation is: Focusing too slow, especially in the relatively dark environment, then that is not very good work!
