Hello,
I am looking for photos of the San Gimignano towers, the Tuscan countryside, brick ovens and Florence for an Italian related web site (Pizza Ovens). Thanks for setting up this great service.
Grazie mille.
James

This looks like a job for the talented Mbighin, known for having a new passion in food styling lately. In Italy, pizza ovens should be only 2 metres away from food styling ;)

Exactly. I'm in Florence, and there are pizza ovens everywhere. Sadly, I am totally lacking in graphic and camera skills. :-)

I have maybe the chance to shoot to a brick pizza oven, but not in the next few days. Maybe in two weeks. Can you wait? If you explain better what aspect you would like to remark, it would be better for me. If you are Italian, puoi spiegarmelo in italiano... CIao

Ciao Mario,

If you ever come across nice brick ovens and could shoot them, I could use them. Thanks.

I was told by a bakery owner that wood-fired ovens were outlawed in Venice when they moved the glass furnaces to Murano. Too bad -- the pizza isn't as good.

Let's keep talking about this. Perhaps there is a way we can collaborate on a photo journal -- we could post your work on our web site, and do a bio and background on you. A web-based exhibition.

Alex,
Yes on the upload, and thanks. I am trying to build a photo collage for our homepage. We were in San G for a year, and still feel connected to it.

Here we go again: if you have a pending photo that matches a photo request please email us in order to obtain a priority review. If the file has problems and it is refused, you will be able to tweak it and reupload. This way the designer doesn't wait too much.

I have reviewed your files, two of them didn't make it, the others were almost close to a refusal. Please avoid shooting during afternoons. Go fot the last hour of the date at dusk or in the morning. In the same time make sure you spend at least a few minutes (if not hours) in post processing for enhancing the file. Tuscany is wolrd renowned for those ceramics roofs and the landscape scenery, make sure they jump out from the frame. ;)

Oh.
I wasn't aware of that priority review of yours. Thanks for that information (obviously I have to revisit the policies...)

As for the photos: they're holiday shots - that's why I didn't upload them in the first place. And being on holiday I spent the "right" hour of the day mostly with a nice glass of wine ...

...however, thank you for your input! It's highly appreciated!

And now for those files that made it:
