Description:
Greek Independence Day is celebrated on MArch 25th in Athens with a parade from all the branches of the military, the fire department, police, coast guard, schools, and universities. It is a double holiday for Greeks, as the Annunciation of the Theotokos is also observed. This is the day that the Archangel Gabriel announced to Mary that she would bear a child.
