Canon 1Ds Mark II, and a Canon 10D as a backup for my digital workflow. I also somtimes use two older 35mm, SLR's (a Minolta Maxxum and an Olympus OM-2) My digital lenses are a Canon 70-200L F/2.8 IS, Canon 17-40mm L, Canon 100mm Macro, and, occassionally, a Canon 28-105mm. I scan 35mm slides and negatives using a Minolta Dimage Scan Elite 5400 II. |

Nature, Scenic, Landscapes, Architecture, Macro, Surreal and, every so often. . .people. I am drawn to simple clean compositions - solitary objects on uncluttered tonal areas for the most part. I am fortunate enough to live in one of the most photographable places in the world, California. I don't believe a day goes by without an opportunity to catch some extraordinary and unique image. |
| Bio / Artistic statement |
Creation stands alone. Any conceptual meaning or value is contained solely within the boundaries of the work itself. Art, to me, is simply a primal desire to express truth or beauty (some say they are the same thing). It also may be simply the desire to convey a profoundly moving effect. To that end, the viewer either 'gets it' . . or is not moved. |
