
I wouldn't compare indesign with freehand and illustrator. Indesign is a page layout, it works great with text but not so well with trace. They're different things.

I wouldn't compare indesign with freehand and illustrator. Indesign is a page layout, it works great with text but not so well with trace. They're different things.
I like very much freehand, because it's easyer than illustrator, it's more intuitive (in my opinion). Tools for modifying bezier curves are easyer in freehand.
I used coreldraw 15 years ago, and I didn't like it.
Have you ever tried Inkscape? Free and open source? I've downloaded it but I haven't enough time to really try it.
