Pink-backed Pelican (Pelecanus rufescens). This bird is one of the smallest of the eight pelican species, but the wing span is still around 8ft. The pelican is white, grey and pink in colour with dark grey wing tips. The top of the beak is yellow and the inside of the pouch pink. Mature individuals have long feather plumes on the back of the head. Of course, they also have a classic pelican beak with the huge throat pouch beneath.
