Oak Alley Plantation located in Vacherie, Louisiana along the banks of the Mississippi River. Oak Alley is a Greek Revival style antebellum mansion located in south Louisiana near New Orleans. It was once part of a much larger sugar cane plantation. This view is looking through the rows of Southern Live Oak Trees that form a canopy over the walkway leading from the river to the front of the house.
