Old Saint Mary s Cathedral, San Francisco

The interior of Old Saint Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco's Chinatown. Erected in 1854, this was the first building erected as a cathedral in California. It was originally built by Chinese laborers with brick brought around the Cape Horn and granite cut in China. Destroyed in the 1906 earthquake, it was rebuilt in 1909.
