Organised by Slow Food, Slow Fish, is an international fair dedicated to Fish conscious consumption, held every two years in Genoa, Italy. The fair is held in the beautiful new Pavilion B at the Genoa Fiera exhibition grounds., which was designed by Jean Nouvel and is directly facing the sea.
Based on Slow Food’s three pillars of Educate, Promote and Protect, the events, meetings and discussions providing information and news will be joined by many opportunities for learning and pleasure, with gastronomical tastings and cooking demonstrations.
Many fish stocks are on the point of collapse from overfishing. Other species are fished or farmed in ways harmful to the health of our planet, not to mention our well-being. In both cases the consumer’s role is crucial. It is through our purchases and conscious consumption that we can have a positive impact on the state of our seas.
