Peter O'Toole and cast of Noel Coward's Present Laughter, take a bow after a Chicago theater performance in 1978. The Irish-born and British reared and educated screen and stage actor died at age 81 on December 14, 2013. He was an 8-time Oscar nominee, but never won. He did, however receive a special Academy Award in 2003 for Lifetime Achievement. Among his celebrated film performances were in Lawrence of Arabia, Lion in Winter, Goodbye, Mr. Chips, The Ruling Class, Becket, and My Favorite Year. By Laurence Agron.
