Brazilian folk dance cacuria in São Luis, Maranhão.
The cacuria is a dance of runs, led by percussion instruments. Comes from the feast of the Holy Spirit. The instruments are boxes (small drums) accompanying the dances, led by a singer, whose impromptu verses are answered by a choir formed by dancers.
