Sri Lankan Giant Squirrel is adapted to life in trees with its long tail, broad hands and large claws. It is capable for leaping 6m between trees when fleeing from predators like eagles. It also produces a series of calls and barks to alert others of dangerous situations.

Habitat: Tropical dry forests
Diet: fruits, nuts, insects and bird eggs
