Description:
This sculpture of a wounded lion in the neighbourhood of Verdun (France) is a memorial to the men of the 130th Division who fought as part of the Souville Garrison in the first World War. It's position marks the furthest that the Germans managed to advance towards Verdun in their attack on 12 July 1916.
