Photo of crowd of fishermen at Beaver Creek in Maryland during opening day trout season on 4/18/09 on the put and take fishing area. This was the second stocking of this stream with hundreds of fish in this pool. The state of Maryland has two trout stockings-one in March and one in April with stream closures preceding each stocking. Trout season opened at 5:30 AM on Saturday 4/18/09 and most of the fish were caught by afternoon. Competition is keen as everyone tries to get their limit of five trout each.
