A rather stern looking couple in a church pew. Woodcut woodblock print of what I believe to be a sculpture by Tilman Riemenschneider. One of the most important sculptors in the transition from late the late Gothic to the Renaissance. (c. 1460 to 1531). The caption merely read by the master of Creglinger altars.
Scanned and lovingly restored from an 1885 edition of Geschichte der Deutschen Kuns.
