Uneasy weather, on the brink of a thunderstorm, brews near Bagamoyo just north of Dar es Salaam on the coastline of mainland Tanzania. The sun nearly shines through the dense stratocumulus cloud layer. The picture was taken just before the start of the mango rains, the short rainy season leading up to Christmas and the austral (southern) summer.
