The botanical building in Balboa Park, San Diego, California, on the west coast of the United States, which contains a botanical garden, is reflected into a pond bordered with pink flowers. Balboa Park is an urban cultural park which was home to the 1915 Panama-California Exposition marking the opening of the Panama Canal and the 1935 California Pacific International Exposition. The historic architectural landmark Exposition buildings were declared a National Historic Landmark and National Historic Landmark District, and have been placed in the National Register of Historic Places.
