Tour train named “Harmonic Great Wall” from North Beijing station (in Xizhimen transport hub in downtown of Beijing) to Yanqing station (in northern suburb of Beijing) that runs by way of famous Badaling Great Wall is shown in the photo. While most China’s distributed traction trains well known as “CRH” are powered by electrical energy, this tour train utilizes diesel multiply units. Two power units with model mark “NJD3” are arranged at two heads of the train to provide traction while 6 motorless units, actually passenger carriages with model mark “25DT” are arranged in the middle. This tour train offers a novel, fast (90min) and convenience option to tourists to the Great Wall.
