This reconstruction in miniature faithfully reflects the Neoclassical Temple to Volta, Como's favorite son, built in 1927 in the town of Como. Alessandro Volta was an Italian physicist known especially for the invention of the battery in the 1800s.
The temple holds his relics including the famous battery.
