Situated on the eastern side of the entrance to St John's Harbour Battery Town stands as a testament to the generations of Newfoundlanders that have lived here. It has only a single lane road known as Battery Road which in war time was used as a supply road for the gun batteries that used to protect the entrance to the St John's Harbour.
