I wasn't here before FTP, so I don't know how it was, but I just can't figure out how FTP works at all. I read the instructions but have no idea what they mean.
Maybe I'm just computer illiterate, but I'd have to agree that I'd like a different way to do multiple uploads that I can understand.
Am I just computer dumb with this?

It's straight forward, and pretty simple FTP.
What seems to be your problems perhaps I can help you?

I use FTP all the time.
This is one of the more simple sites for FTP, and also one of the more reliable.

All you need to do is go here:

http://www.dreamstime.com/ftpupload.php
and click the enable FTP button.
Set your FTP client to the settings as instructed on the same page.
Upload away!!!
Once the uploads are done, your images will appera in the unfinished files.
Don't panic if they are not there right away - it takes a few minutes.

Sorry guys, I don't see what's the problem with the FTP upload now, and surely isn't a stupid method. It's working smoothly and files are going into the unfinished area quite fast :~)

Cheers!

FTP works fine for me too, but I gotta say its kind of a pain. Too many other sites don't allow it so I usually end up doing them one at a time on html. Even three at a time would be nice.

They took it down because somehow it was adding a lot of server load. I don't know enough about their end to understand that, but that is what they said at the time.

On the other hand, one of DT's competitors doesn't allow multiple OR FTP; so not complaining so much here. At least there is one option!
