Today we launch the biggest upgrade in Dreamstime's history. The site is now available in six new languages: German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese:

We have used a complex solution to localize key content on our website, utilizing a mix of automated technology and native translators. All image info, title, description and keywords will be automatically translated within the first hours after an image is approved. The submissions, as well as forum posts, blogs and other communication will remain in English exclusively.
Note that misspellings or inaccurate translations may occur in various areas of the site. In case you find such errors, please report them using the new form located at the bottom of the pages. Don't post them in this thread, as we will not be able to track them. Depending on the number of errors, we might allow contributors to edit their own image information.
Some of the versions are in a more advanced stage, while others, such as French and Dutch, are in an alpha stage. Changes, updates and upgrades will be performed continuously in the weeks and months to come.
At this time, our non-English traffic is above 40%. This upgrade will improve the experience of a large part of this traffic as well as attract new customers who were not able to use the site before. The addition of the multi-language upgrade will increase our usability for some customers and provide a new service for others. Consequently, we expect to double our traffic by the end of this year.
Here is a list of countries whose populations speak the new languages either officially or among a large number of individuals: Andorra, Algeria, Angola, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Hungary, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Mauritius, Mexico, Morocco, Mozambique, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Panama, Rwanda, San-Marino, Seychelles, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, Uruguay, Zaire.
The upgrade was extremely complicated, so please understand the limitations of the automated translation. The "thank you" messages should go to our developer team and to our collaborating translators, all of whom have worked hectically for the past six months.
We will consider other languages for the near future. New additions will be added depending on results and feedback.

Hello, this is a very nice and useful new thing, but...........
when I go to the german page, the titles of my uploaded images are completely wrong converted / translated. The german title has absolutely nothing to do whith the image theme and the image title.
Can you please check this? Or has someone else a similar experience? |

To Photosaurus: regarding translation mistakes Achilles said in his announcement: "Don't post them in this thread, as we will not be able to track them". So, the best is to send an e-mail to support.

All reports regarding faulty translations need to be sent ONLY using the "Report faulty translations" form that can be found on all pages, within the footer.
If you use the form, please make sure that you specify exactly where the faulty translation is and insert both texts - wrong and corrected version.

In addition, we would like to re-emphasize the fact that title, keywords and descriptions are provided by the automated system. Thousands of images are added on a daily basis and in order to provide six versions for each image info in real time, we must use automatic translations. There may be errors, discrepancies, faulty translations.
If you send messages with corrections for image info, it is technically impossible for adjustments to be performed for the time being.
We will do our best to provide a solution in the near future.
