Seems true. It's dropped almost by half compared to the previous month in my case and currently is at its lowest since I joined DT.

Sorry to hear your pain... mine is at its highest ever this month... last month was pretty good too.

It really only takes a minor variation such as a few subscription downloads or a few extended license sales to make a big difference in RPD though, so don't be too worried.

I seem to be getting an increasing number of subscription downloads, yet my RPD has not gone down even a penny.
What you sell can very month to month, week to week, even day to day. There will be months you are down, and months you are up. Welcome to the business of selling.

Last month my RPD was 1.03$
This month 0.53$

Most of my sales are subs (something like 70%), almost all additional format :( I'm considering to stop uploading vector formats.

Here's my trend. But I don't have a large portfolio or large number of sales so my RPDs will be easily skewed. But from my RPD, hard to judge whether there is a trend or not.

November 2007 $0.66
December 2007 $0.99
January 2008 $2.60
February 2008 $0.72
March 2008 $1.20
April 2008 $0.83
May 2008 $1.25
June 2008 $2.76

I hope that helps.

My RPD is highest ever and already it's my BME by 25% with 10 days left. My sales have increased stradily all year.

Mine is 1.07, it varies a lot month by month.
It will increase after the new price change, for sure.
By the way, I dont monitore the RPD, I prefer to monitor the money/picture ratio every month.
It has been moving around the 0.08/picture/month.

Hang in there guys, maybe just a lull in activity. Try to turn that worry into creativity.

I assume RPD stands for Rate Per Download which you can find in your stats:
http://www.dreamstime.com/stats.php

Which is really an average rate per download for each month

If this is a lull, I can't wait for the downloads to start... very close to a BME for me already :)

March 2008 $1.26
April 2008 $1.26
May 2008 $1.37
June 2008 $0.65

Not the best month here...

Despite of this, I think it's a numbers question: more uploads and images get approves = more downloads... as you increase your portfolio you get more downloads

Subscriptions are normally .30 or .36 (Exclusive)
Also when you make a subscription sale it tells you that it was a subscription in the Price section of the sale info
